Women On Wheels® is a national organization that was founded in 1982 for the express purpose of uniting women motorcyclists for recreation, education, mutual support, recognition, and to promote a positive image of motorcycling. The national organization and numerous chapters are dedicated to promoting the interest of all women who ride, whether on their own motorcycle, as a passenger on someone else's motorcycle, or for future motorcyclists.
Members of the Minnesota chapters have organized events for the year 2003 riding season. The rides may include ice cream stops, dinner runs, overnight excursions, camping trips, and more. Significant others are always welcome and are encouraged to join us, unless the event is denoted as being "closed".
Experienced rider classes, safety seminars, and workshops are offered for member participation, combining education and camaraderie that can only be found amoung individuals with common interests. The people, motorcycles, and riding styles may be very different, but the bond is the same.
When you join Women On Wheels® national, you automatically belong to any chapter in the United States. Please feel free to participate with any group that strikes your fancy, whether you are traveling across the country or in your own town.
We welcome all women motorcycle enthusiasts whether 18 or 80. We ride all brands, all sizes, and all styles of motorcycles, including; cruisers, touring bikes, sport bikes, sport-touring bikes, sport bikes, sport-touring, dual purpose, motocross, trikes, etc. What do we have in common?
